Alissa is a Growth Space for Women Founders in Tech.

Our Purpose

At Alissa Founder Land we believe that our world needs more companies founded and led by women.

Yet, despite some progress, large inequities and significant underrepresentation of women founders still persists, particularly, in the tech industry.

At Alissa, we work with women tech founders to help you grow in self-mastery and leadership, advancing yourself and your venture, while also contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem evolution for a better future.

Created by women-founded companies on average compared to companies founded by man

Start-ups founded or cofounded by women are a better investment, yet there is a significant funding disparity (97.2% of venture funding is received by man founded companies vs 2.8% by women-founded) and women-founded businesses underrepresentation among all venture capital and private equity-backed companies.

The Challenges Women Founders Disproportionately Face

Gender
Biases

Women founders often face multiple gender biases, regarding risk aversion, leadership style, lack of expertise in tech, business scaling approach and many others.
With only 15% of VCs GPs globally being women the open and diverse perspective is not yet there.

Legacy System

From startups selection to board composition, the, still prevailing, venture capital system is historically shaped by man investors for man-founded ventures.
In EU, women-founded tech startups currently account for only 11.4% of total VC funding.

Societal Barriers

Societal expectations for women to manage dual roles as business owners and primary caregivers, along with childcare costs, create practical challenges. Women under-representation in VC, PE, and senior tech leaders and founders also restricts access to role models and mentors.

Inner Barriers

Psychological barriers, like impostor syndrome (affecting up to 75% of female leaders), fear of failure, other self-imposed limitations, as well as internalised societal biases drain energy and can hinder founder confidence in fundraising, negotiation, exit management and business leadership.

A company’s ability to achieve sustainable growth, largely depends on the founder(s) capacity for evolving self, own brand, leadership, and scaling sustainably with her team and all stakeholders.

Q&A

Alissa is a development space specifically for women founders in tech. The program is designed to bring together a curated cohort of founders who face relatable business challenges but come from diverse backgrounds and are at various growth stages.

The program aims to help founders advance themselves, their ventures, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Key benefits include:

  • Gaining clarity on your distinct personal brand, value proposition, and strengths.
  • Mastering your ‘inner critic’ and overcoming internal psychological barriers.
  • Becoming a better leader for yourself and your team.
  • Building confidence, especially in high-stakes situations.
  • Learning sustainable self-resourcing and energy management techniques.
  • Gaining access to a supportive, long-term community of peers, mentors, and investors.
  • Contributing to a fairer, more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The curriculum is focused on mastering three key areas:

  1. Leading-Self: Developing your founder identity, building confidence, defining your personal brand, managing self-sabotaging patterns (like Impostor Syndrome), and mastering energy management.
  2. Leading Others: Focusing on systemic team leadership and effectively navigating co-founder and investor relationship dynamics.
  3. Navigating the Business Eco-System: Learning to thrive in a system with known gender bias and disparities, while also helping to evolve it.

The program runs for five months. The total time investment is approximately 6.5 days of structured group learning and 1 day of self-paced learning, spread across the five months. This estimate does not include travel time for the in-person events.

The cohort has between 9-12 participants. This size helps to make sure you learn in a space that offers enough diversity yet is psychologically safe.

The program is run by its co-creators, Anna Sagalova and Christian Erhard. They are experienced leadership coaches with over 20 years of combined entrepreneurial and corporate leadership experience. While they are the primary coaches and facilitators, the in-person events and community activities will also feature external speakers, including business leaders, founders, investors, scientists and other remarkable speakers.

Alissa program builds upon similar, though not identical, programs that Anna and Christian have delivered over the last 5 years to over 150 participants at companies like Accenture and Google, including six cohorts specifically for women leaders. Outcomes are evaluated within the program through quantitative & qualitative surveys and retrospectives during group coaching sessions. Google participants evaluated the program as NPS 75 = world class.

The application for the Fall 2025 Cohort is open until November 5th. To apply, you can email Anna or Christian or book a free discovery call directly below.
